Dr. John Brady is the Founder and CEO of Waypoint Medical in Clear Lake, Iowa, where he has built a
practice centered on one guiding principle: helping patients feel their best at every stage of life. Under his
leadership, Waypoint Medical has grown into a comprehensive healthcare destination that seamlessly
integrates primary care, urgent care, functional medicine, regenerative medicine, medical aesthetics, and
wellness into one patient-centered experience.
Driven by a passion for innovation, Dr. Brady founded Waypoint Medical’s Center of Excellence for
Functional and Regenerative Medicine, creating one of the region’s most comprehensive physician-led
wellness programs. His vision combines evidence-based medicine with advanced technologies to optimize
health, improve longevity, restore function, and enhance confidence. Whether helping patients improve
metabolic health, balance hormones, regain physical function, or enhance their appearance through
physician-directed aesthetic treatments, his philosophy is rooted in personalized care and lasting
relationships.
As a BTL Physician Expert, Dr. Brady collaborates with physicians across the country to advance the use of
innovative, evidence-based technologies in clinical practice. He is also a certified BioTE provider,
incorporating hormone optimization into a comprehensive approach to healthy aging and wellness. His
passion is understanding each patient’s unique health journey and developing individualized strategies that
help them look, feel, and perform at their best.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Brady has served in numerous physician leadership and executive
roles throughout his career, including Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Staff, Medical Director, and healthcare
consultant. He has helped healthcare organizations strengthen both clinical and financial performance
through physician engagement, operational excellence, population health initiatives, quality improvement,
revenue optimization, and long-term strategic planning.
Dr. Brady earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Simpson College and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines. After practicing
family medicine and emergency medicine for nearly two decades in central Iowa, he returned to his native
Northern Iowa in 2012 to serve the community he calls home.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Brady enjoys reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
He remains committed to lifelong learning and bringing the latest advances in functional, regenerative, and
aesthetic medicine to the patients of Waypoint Medical.
