Karen Johnson, PA-C

Karen Johnson PA-C has been passionate about medicine since childhood, inspired by a family legacy of nursing. After starting her career in pediatrics, she took a break to raise four children. Once her children were in school, Karen transitioned to family practice, where she has spent the last 12 years cultivating meaningful relationships with patients and closely monitoring their health.

Graduating with a Bachelors in Physician Assistant from Butler University in 1998 and earning a Doctorate in Medical Science (DMS) in 2022, Karen has developed a keen interest in primary care, particularly in managing type 2 diabetes. She believes in the direct primary care model, which allows for comprehensive, unhurried consultations that prioritize the individual needs of each patient.

Having spent many years in an employer-based clinic resembling direct primary care, Karen is dedicated to providing timely, compassionate healthcare. She is especially committed to educating patients with type 2 diabetes, helping them understand their condition and achieve better health outcomes. Additionally, she aspires to open a clinic in Kenya to provide essential healthcare services to underserved communities.

Outside of the clinic, Karen is an avid sports fan, particularly of the Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers, and holds records in field hockey and track from her college days. She cherishes time spent with her four adult children and looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild soon.

Karen is committed to treating every patient with respect and care, ensuring that everyone receives the high-quality healthcare they deserve.
