Dr. Louis Cady is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
His medical training was at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and his internship and residency in psychiatry was at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Cady began a conventional practice of psychiatry in 1993 but realized that not all his patients were getting well with conventional treatments. He subsequently did age management medicine training at the Cenegenics Medical Institute Las Vegas, NV, and began integrating vitamins, nutritional products, and hormones into his practice. In 2005, he founded the Cady Wellness Institute, Dr. Cady trained further in hormone replacement with Neal Rouzier, MD, and has lectured nationally on hormone replacement and functional medicine for the Age Management Medical Group (AMMG), American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M).
He has also lectured for the Neurovascular Medical Society in Canada.
Dr. Cady has an active hormone replacement therapy and wellness-focused practice using all forms of treatment supported by the peer-reviewed medical literature as well as a small aesthetic practice based on foundational concepts of hormonal and physiological wellness affecting the outside of the body.
He began using the Biote pellets and the Biote method in his practice in 2024.
A noted speaker and presenter, Dr. Cady speaks nationally and internationally on functional medicine and hormone dysfunction and replacement. He lectures on mental health topics as well as bioidentical hormones in aesthetics. He is currently on the speakers’ bureaus of two pharmaceutical companies.
