Her undergraduate education was completed at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008. She later went on to pursue her graduate degree from Indiana State University in 2017. She has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, many of those years spent in the emergency department, forensics, and on the mission field in Latin America. Fun fact: she speaks Spanish fluently.
