Laura Dickerson is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, specializing in functional medicine. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Graceland University (Lamoni, IA) followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Saint Anthony College of Nursing (Rockford, IL). Laura is a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine and a Biote Medical Certified Practitioner.

Following many years of acute care nursing experience, she went on to explore alternative approaches to optimal health and wellness, ultimately leading her to functional medicine. Her primary goal is to provide education, counseling, and alternative treatment options to those with acute or complex health conditions. “I want to provide a wonderful experience to each and every one of my patients and if that means spending hours researching their condition, that is what I will do”.

Outside of Laura’s professional role, she is a mother to a 10-year-old daughter who keeps her busy with barrel racing, competitive dance, and soccer. “It is a privilege and honor to walk along side of my daughter as she learns and grows through life”. Laura also enjoys time with family, reading, traveling, and being outdoors.
