She has always been passionate about providing quality healthcare and delivering her patients the information that they need to understand and improve their health.
The relationships that she has acquired with her patients over the years continue to feed her desire to expand her knowledge and provide current and complete care to her patients.
Sharon Larsen’s career in healthcare has been diverse.
She started in emergency services as a firefighter/paramedic while working in the ER as a tech.
She graduated with her Associate in Nursing in 1997. While working as a nurse in the Emergency Department, and as a flight paramedic on Flight For Life, she continued her education, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lewis University in 2001.
After working in the ER for 15 years, she decided to further her career, returned to school and graduated with high honors with a Master of Science – Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Illinois University in 2010.
At that time, she began working in primary care and found her new passion.
She achieved her highest educational goal in 2017, graduating from Wilkes University with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, focusing on patient education post-discharge in patients with heart failure.
CardinaLight Health was born in 2019 and Sharon was finally able to provide the type of healthcare that allowed the patient to understand and participate in their health.
Striving to help patients feel their best in mind and body, in addition to primary care, CardinaLight is now offering vitamin therapy, and medically managed weight loss and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
