She has 17 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina and completed her residency at Emory University. Dr. Carmichael also was a faculty member at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she served as a clinical instructor for three years before entering private practice. Dr. Carmichael is especially interested in
helping women achieve healthy lifestyles. She feels strongly that incorporating healthy eating habits and regular exercise are vital keys to creating a strong foundation of health and wellness. She is also interested in helping women become aware of the alternative therapies for the management of common gynecological problems, such as fibroids and abnormal bleeding. She performs the in-office stenlization procedure, Essure, as well as several other in office procedures.
Or. Carmichael is a mother of 4 who understands the importance of choosing a healthcare provider who is sensitive to each woman””s uniqueness. Dr Andrea Johnson cofounded Total Women””s Health and Wellness Center Inc in 2007. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and has been in practice for over 18 years. She received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh””s School of Medicine and completed her residency at
Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. After moving to Georgia, she joined the faculty of Morehouse School of Medicine where she was on staff for 10 years. She was an associate professor before leaving and going into private practice.
Or. Johnson””s area of interest is minimally invasive gynecology. She manages many gynecological problems such as abnormal bleeding. fibroids and abnormal pap smears. She performs infertility work-ups and does urodynamics as part of the work up in urinary incontinence. She performs the in-office sterilization procedure, Essure, as well as several other in office procedures.
