Native from Colombia, Dr. Barba finished his medical school in the year 2000 at FUSM, Bogotá.
He is BLS, ACLS, ECFMG, USMLE , ABSA Certified, as well as a member of the American Academy of aesthetic medicine AAAM with experience in tumescent Liposuction and bioidentical hormonal replacement.
He did his Medical internship in Pavia Hospital, PR, after doing a Kidney and pancreas transplant internship, at Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami, FL. , as well as having research experience with the University of Miami.
He is also practicing General medicine in central Florida.
Dr. Barba is fluent in Spanish, English and conversational French.
Dr. Rivas is a native of Venezuela, and has lived in the United Stated for over 10 years. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society of Critical Care and The American Medical Association. He has performed more than 3000 cosmetic procedures most of these being tumescent liposuction.
Dr. Rivas obtained his M.D. degree in 1986 from Luis Razetti School of Medicine at the University of Central Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. He underwent training in general surgery from 1988-1991 at Ricardo Baquero Gonzalez Hospital and transplant surgery at the Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2011-2012. He continued his training in surgical critical care at the Ryder Trauma Center from 2012-2013.
He served as an Instructor of Anatomy & Physiology at Sandford Brown College from 2008-2010. He was involved in clinical trial at Miami Trasplant Institute at the University of Miami from 2010-2011
