Christi is a proud United States Army and Gulf War veteran. She is married to Ben, and together they have seven children and six grandchildren. The first half of her professional journey was dedicated to higher education administration, culminating in her role as a university president. Christi earned her Bachelor of Science from Austin Peay State University, her Master of Business Administration from Bethel University, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in family and emergency medicine from the University of South Alabama.
Her nursing career began in cardiac critical care and transitioned into emergency medicine, where she developed a deep commitment to patient-centered care. Christi is passionate about improving the quality of life for her patients and brings a unique, holistic perspective to her practice.
