About Dr. Ditz

Frank G. Ditz, MD, is a board-certified family practice physician with more than 20 years of experience. He has won many physician and patient choice awards as well as the Physician of the Year for the National Republican Congressional Committee™. Ditz has been the doctor for private individuals and for many executive officers and politicians, both foreign and domestic, military and civilian, and was offered, but declined a position as the private physician for the then serving Vice President of the United States Al Gore.

Education

Dr. Ditz received a Regents Academic scholarship to attend the State University of New York at Buffalo from which he graduated with honors.

He then received a Congressional appointment to attend medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland with a full academic scholarship and a Direct Congressional appointment and Commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. He received his residency of choice in Family Practice and trained at David Grant USAF Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base in California and with the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. Dr Ditz was certified as an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor and an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor during his 14 years in the United States Air Force and received an Honorable Discharge after turning down a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel 2 years below the zone to pursue his lifelong dream to have his own personal private medical practice.

While stationed in Okinawa Japan he was selected to attend the School of Aerospace Medicine for flight surgeon training and graduated as the distinguished graduate and as one of the few physicians who were able to be certified to endure the rigorous 9G training necessary to fly all fighter aircraft.

Residency

Dr Ditz received his first choice for residency programs and completed his internship and residency with University of California, Davis, at the David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California.

Expertise

Dr. Ditz has expertise in multiple fields and is both a local and a national lecturer in many subjects including insomnia, osteoporosis, hypertension, depression, asthma, diabetes mellitus, and antibiotic therapies. He provides seminars for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and others and has been the main presenter at the Grand Rounds at the Florida Hospital and many other institutions to help to educate all of their medical staff of all specialties.
