Carmen is a Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in health care by working as an R.N prior to becoming an ARNP. She has logged nearly 20 years of experience in various areas of patient care before earning her Nurse Practitioner designation.

In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Carmen also has an outstanding academic background that includes a bachelor’s degree (BSN in nursing) and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program of Maryville University.

Carmen has a unique combination of strong nursing skills and strives to provide the best health care possible. She believes in building a long lasting and trusting relationship with patients. She seeks to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking time to listen and understand their particular needs. Ramon Ruiz, MD

Dr. Ruiz graduated from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in 1999. Shortly after completing his transitional residency, he began working as an Emergency Room attending physician while building up his Family Medicine practice in Trujillo Alto, PR. After 16 years of a successful private practice and a short stint with the VA Healthcare system in EL Paso, TX, he relocated with his family to Jacksonville, FL. He has served the local community for the past 6 years not only in primary care, but also managing cases of occupational medicine. He is also certified as a D.O.T. Medical examiner. With more than 20 years of experience, his goal is to educate his patients in the prevention of chronic illnesses through a healthy lifestyle.
