For over 15 years, Michele LeMay, MD, has specialized in obstetrics and gynecology at West Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology in Bradenton, Florida. Listed among the top doctors in her field by Sarasota Magazine for the past five years, Dr. LeMay is well known and loved in the community. She has taken care of many families over the years.
Dr. LeMay received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her residency training at Hahnemann University Hospital, an affiliate of Drexel University. Her special interests include female sexual health, menopause, and hormone management, as well as laser treatments for both gynecologic and cosmetic conditions.
Dr. LeMay is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and currently the Chief of Surgery at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
A native of Bradenton, Florida, and daughter of the practice’s founder, Karen Matta-Toomey, MD, has served as an OB/GYN at West Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology since 2011. She strives to follow in her father’s footsteps by providing quality care with an emphasis in compassion and making the patient feel at ease. She also values the importance of the patient knowing and understanding her own health and management options. Dr. Matta-Toomey provides comprehensive obstetrics and gynecological care but also has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, management of heavy bleeding, ultrasonography, PCOS, and basic infertility.
Dr. Matta-Toomey’s medical career path began when she attended Duke University for her undergraduate studies. She completed her medical doctorate and residency in gynecology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa and then returned to her hometown to work with her father before he retired. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and has served as the Chair of OB/GYN at Manatee Memorial Hospital. She also speaks Spanish proficiently.
John Hansill, MD, is an OB/GYN at West Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology in Bradenton, Florida. He provides general obstetric and gynecology care but has specialized in urogynecology. Dr. Hansill goes above and beyond to ensure his patients have a positive experience during their visit.
Dr. Hansill’s medical training started with a nursing degree followed by medical school at Spartan Health Sciences University in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia. He completed his residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Hansill gained over three years of experience in private practice in the state of Oregon before returning to Florida in 2015 to be closer to family. He has been a member of the West Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology team ever since.
An American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) board-certified doctor, Dr. Hansill’s interests include female incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, urogynecology, minimally invasive surgery, and cosmetic gynecology. In 2011, he received his residency’s Top Laparoscopic Surgeons Award. Dr. Hansill is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Rosabelle Campos, MD, joined West Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2017 as an OB/GYN. With a background in nutrition and women’s health, she helps patients in Bradenton, Florida, use preventive strategies to achieve better health. Dr. Campos is bilingual and speaks both Spanish and English with her patients.
Dr. Campos earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville and completed medical school and her residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), Dr. Campos had several years of experience in Tampa prior to relocating to Bradenton and joining the West Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology team.
Dr. Campos’ special interests include preventive health care, management of abnormal periods, basic infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and gynecologic surgeries.
