Dr. Lawrence Chang is a Board-Certified Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon whose areas of focus include cosmetic surgery and medicine; reconstructive breast, facial and dermatologic surgery. His advanced surgical skills and refined eye for aesthetics enable him to achieve results that are highly satisfying and natural. Dr. Chang is an exceptional plastic surgeon who enjoys taking care of his patients. His discussions with patients are thorough and educates patients on realistic expectations for surgery. He has been named Top Doc consistently in Plastic Surgery since 1996.
Dr. Lawrence Chang attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania school of medicine and received his medical doctorate in 1986. After finishing his general surgery residency at the University of Rochester, Dr. Lawrence Chang completed his plastic surgery residency at the world renowned The John Hopkins Hospital, where he had the honor of being appointed chief resident. Dr. Chang completed his fellowship in craniofacial and microsurgery at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma, and also has extensive hand surgery training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. After training, he obtained his double board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He currently only focuses on Plastic Surgery and maintains his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Lawrence Chang has been in practice in Newark/Wilmington area since 1994 founding Advanced Plastic Surgery Center in 1999. In order to provide comprehensive cosmetic medicine/non-surgical options to his patients, Dr. Lawrence Chang founded Nouveau Medispa in 2005. Due to the wide success of Nouveau Medispa, The Nouveau Cosmetic Center was created which now combines surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures with state-of-the-art spa treatment. Advanced Plastic Surgery Center continues to provide comprehensive plastic surgical services in the area of cosmetic reconstructive and dermatologic surgery. In response to plastic surgery services in the southern Delaware region, Dr. Lawrence Chang opened Rehoboth Plastic and Dermatologic Surgery with Nouveau Medispa satellite in Rehoboth Delaware in 2011.
