After graduating from Genoa-Hugo, she attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley receiving her Bachelors in Nursing.

She obtained her Masters in Nursing at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs as a Family Nurse Practitioner graduating with honors.

Amanda enjoys the variety that family practice offers and caring for family units as a whole.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Preston Heinen, FNP

Preston Heinen FNP: Preston is a Family Nurse Practitioner who grew up in Canon City, Colorado.

He went to the United States Coast Guard Academy, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Science before obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education from Lesley University.

A passion for education led Preston to a fourteen-year teaching career in Boston, Massachusetts, where he taught Math and Science to Elementary and Middle School children.

However, he always wanted to work in medicine because his Grandma, Mother and Sister were nurses.

Preston returned to Colorado to be near family during nursing school at CSU-Pueblo and his Master’s Degree at Chamberlain University.

Preston enjoys spending time with his family and friends in his free time.
