Vandna Jerath, MD, FACOG, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver in 1990 and her Doctor of Medicine degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine in 1994. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Hospital in 1998. She has been board certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 2001 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Jerath practiced obstetrics and gynecology for 11 years in Westminster, CO at Colorado Ob-Gyn Associates prior to relocating her practice to Parker, CO and opening Optima Women’s Healthcare, which is a relaxing, spa-like setting where she provides personalized, compassionate healthcare for women. She has currently been in practice for 16 years and been a physician for 20 years.
Dr. Jerath strives to care for each patient individually and personalizes her attention and care to meet your needs. She treats each patient with respect, compassion, empathy and dedication while maintaining focus on the concerns and conditions that may require evaluation and treatment. She provides comprehensive ob/gyn care and has a particular interest in high risk obstetrics, minimally invasive and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery, and bio-identical hormone pellet therapy.
Dr. Jerath is passionate about women’s healthcare issues and actively promotes patient education and community outreach. Using healthcare social media to engage, educate, enlighten, and empower women, patients, colleagues, and the community, she has become a healthcare social media pioneer and expert locally. Dr Jerath is one of the first physicians in Colorado actively participating in and building an extensive healthcare social media network. She has done healthcare social media presentations and/or consulting for several hospitals, medical societies, practice management organizations, and healthcare colleagues. She was also featured on Denver 9News by Cheryl Preheim as the Social Media Doctor.
Dr. Jerath enjoys playing tennis, hiking, attending the theater, concerts, political discussions, and other cultural events. She has previously completed several triathlons, half-marathons, and one marathon. She is also a Denver Broncos football fan and can often be found in the stands cheering. One of her greatest passions is to travel and she has had many memorable adventures and some of her favorite destinations include India, South Africa, Italy, Panama, Cambodia, and Costa Rica. She has lived in Colorado since 1981 and loves everything it has to offer.
