Heather Schoen, MD

Dr. Schoen (Heather) grew up in Dallas, TX and received her B.A. in Psychology from Baylor University. She received her M.D. from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Schoen is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has been a part of Associates in Women””s Health since January of 2003 and enjoys caring for the obstetric, gynecologic, surgical and infertility needs of her patients. She has a particular interest in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries including laparoscopic hysterectomies utilizing the DaVinci robot, incontinence procedures, hysteroscopies, and endometrial ablation.

Heather has lived in Colorado with her 2 children, Kaia and Hayden, since 2000 and loves being here. When not working, she enjoys travelling, reading, running, biking, hiking, skiing—you name it. She really values the relationship she has with her patients. “I want my patients to feel comfortable, relaxed and confident that they are receiving thorough, compassionate, and up-to-date care.”

Debra Ganter, MD

Dr. Ganter (Deb) is a West Texas native. She received a B.S. in Geology from Texas Tech University. In 1990, she graduated from Texas Tech University School of Medicine and moved to Colorado where she began her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center.

She finished her residency in 1994 and began private practice in Denver. In 1997, she joined Associates in Women””s Health.

She has held many offices in the medical community. She is a previous Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center. She also was the President of the Colorado Gynecological and Obstetrical Society from 2003-2004. Most recently she served as Vice Chairman and Chairman for the Colorado Section of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2003-2009. She remains active on administrative committees at Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Ganter is board certified and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Deb loves living in Colorado. She enjoys everything outdoors: skiing, snowboarding, biking, hiking, and gardening. “Practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in such a wonderful surrounding is truly a privilege.”

Sarah Ellis, MD

Dr. Ellis (Sarah) is a Colorado native. She was born in Boulder and attended CU Boulder where she received a degree in Mathematics. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. Dr. Ellis is board certified and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Sarah joined Associates of WomenÕs Health in 2001 and her practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology focuses on disease prevention and health maintenance. She is trained in minimally invasive surgeries including laparoscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy utilizing the DaVinci robot, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, and Essure tubal occlusion.

When she is not practicing medicine, Sarah spends time with her two sons. They enjoy travel, skiing, biking and taking advantage of the beautiful Colorado outdoors.

Johanne Python, MD

Dr. Python (Johanne) grew up just outside of Chicago, Illinois and received a B.S. with high distinction in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia. She then received her medical degree at the University of Colorado, where she also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Python is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is trained in minimally invasive surgeries, focusing on advanced in-office procedures such as hysteroscopy, Essure tubal occlusion and LEEP (loop electrode excisional procedure). As a physician, she is particularly interested in contraception and preventative health and believes that a strong physician is one who is compassionate and can communicate openly with her patients. She is excited to be of service to any woman needing the services of an Ob/Gyn!

Johanne feels incredibly lucky to have done all of her training in Colorado and loves to take full advantage of everything this beautiful state has to offer. When she is not in the office, you””ll probably find her skiing, running, hiking or camping with her husband in the great Colorado outdoors. Around town, she loves the vibrant live music scene and enjoys exploring new culinary horizons at the many local restaurants in Denver.
