Monica Garbiso is a Denver-area board certified Nurse Practitioner.
Her emphasis is on family health and hormone optimization.
She is a certified BIOTE provider, as well as a certified acute care nurse practitioner.
Born in a small town in Southern Colorado, Monica has always had a love of science and anything medical.
Her career choice was an easy one, Nursing!
She obtained both her BSN and MSN degrees at the University of Southern Colorado and Colorado State University-Pueblo.
She achieved scholastic merit while meeting the demands of family and working full time.
She completed her education in late winter 2009.
Her dream to become a nurse practitioner led her to seek opportunities to gain experience and enhance her skills.
She fell in love with mission work and grew professionally as an ICU nurse.
She eventually began practicing in a busy internal medicine office seeing complicated patients in hospital, nursing home and clinical settings.
She has been blessed to work with many gifted and talented professionals and specialists – mentors and teachers that supplemented her knowledge and honed her health care skills. The dream of independent practice came to fruition in the Denver area when she relocated to be closer to her adult children.
She has a family practice that emphasizes simplicity as she makes every effort to provide a “personal touch” that is not commonly seen in medical practices of today.
Her goal is to maintain a small practice with a more “hands-on” experience for the population she treats.
Monica was exposed to pelleting as a treatment method for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) while networking with other medical professionals.
The idea of this type of HRT was intriguing and as she learned more about HRT with the BIOTE program, she saw a way she might improve the quality of life for women and men.
She has since completed the BIOTE training program and has been delivering hormone optimization for more than 2 years.
The one most significant aspect of her role as a BIOTE provider has been encouraging males and females to seek a higher quality of life through hormone replacement.
Individual men and women present unique issues, and sometimes find it difficult to discuss such intimate details of their physical and sexual health.
Monica makes great effort to create an open, comfortable, and discreet environment for people to discuss these sensitive but very important issues.
Just remember:
“Our bodies play a huge role in the accomplishment of our goals and our overall happiness. Embodiment… is about tuning into our physical bodies and learning ways to support our health and well-being so that we can do what we need to do, and enjoy the journey.”
