Marissa grew up in the Inland Empire, earned degrees from Riverside Community College, received scholarships to the University of California, Riverside, and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama. With 18 years of experience in the medical field, and 15 years in Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, with specialized training and procedures, she also has 13 years of medical experience serving our nation in both the CA Army National Guard, and now in the Air Force Reserves at March Air Reserve Base.

Marissa is married and has two sons, one in the US Marine Corps and one who served in the US Air Force. Over the years, Marissa has built a reputation for combining excellent, evidence-based, and individualized health care for all her patients.
