Juris Bunkis has made a name for himself as an innovative, Harvard trained, plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Bunkis is the medical director of Orange County Plastic Surgery (OCPS).
Dr. Bunkis has an impressive academic background.
Upon graduating from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1974, Dr. Bunkis completed a general surgery residency at Columbia and Harvard Universities. This was followed by board certification in general surgery. He subsequently returned to Harvard University to complete a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
In 1981, he joined the plastic surgery faculty at the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery and was subsequently appointed Chief of Plastic Surgery at the San Francisco General Hospital.
Dr. Bunkis is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Bunkis is a member of the numerous prestigious plastic surgery organizations including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Plastic Surgery Research Council, and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Crystal is a Southern California native that began her journey in medicine by receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California Irvine, while working as an Emergency Medical Technician in the local area. She then completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at MCPHS University in Boston, where she was able to acquire her human anatomy medical knowledge at Harvard Medical School.
She is a current member of the AAPA and enjoys finding ways to stay involved and up-to-date on the most up and coming procedures and medical advances in the field of Plastic Surgery.
Crystal has always had an interest and love for Plastic Surgery.
During the clinical portion of her PA schooling, Crystal completed her preceptorship in Plastic Surgery at OCPS. Over the course of time she spent there, she quickly realized this was where she belonged.
She received training from Dr. Bunkis in a wide range of areas; from surgical procedures to Botox and cosmetic filler injections, peels and laser treatments.
She and Dr. Bunkis both took courses at the BioTe facility in Texas to learn about bioidentical hormone insertion and strive to have each patient feel as good as they look!
