Dr. Joe Mawad is the Founder and President of Inland Empire Woman’s Center, Medical Associates in San Bernardino, CA. He is Board Certified by The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Mawad received his medical Degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and before coming to San Bernardino completed his Residency training at the Staten Island University Hospital in New Year City, NY. Dr. Mawad is on staff at St. Bernardine Medical Center and Community Hospital of San Bernardino where he has been the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2013. Dr. Mawad also serves on the Board of Director at Community Hospital of San Bernardino.
His focus is on providing the greatest patient experience. Dr. Mawad is trained in minimally invasive surgical techniques that provide a safe and fast recovery for his patients, getting you back to your daily activities as quickly and pain free as possible. Dr. Mawad is a trained and certified BioTE Provider.
In addition to English Dr. Mawad is fluent in Arabic, Spanish, and French.
Dr. Corry Ann Varner, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife
Dr. Corry Ann Varner, WHNP-BC, DNP was born and raised in Southern California. In 2007, she earned a Masters in Nursing with a specialty in Midwifery/Women’s Health and has been working in Obstetrics and Gynecology ever since. Continuing her education, in 2014 she earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and had an article published in ‘The Journal of Perinatal Education’ on Physiological Birth – comparing Hypnobirthing and the Bradley method.
Dr. Varner has more than 16 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology and cares for women from puberty through menopause; this includes gynecologic problems, menopausal management, and complete obstetrical care. Dr. Varner is certified in bio-identical hormone replacement for women with perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms as well as for men with low testosterone.
