Sonja moved to Arizona in 2002 where she attended Arizona State University to complete the nursing program. She graduated in December of 2007 and immediately started working for Scottsdale Honor Healthcare hospital in the cardiac unit. Given the chronic condition of patients she had to take care of every day, Sonja developed a burning desire to be able to better help the community to reach a healthier lifestyle.
She continued her studies at Grand Canyon University where she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program in August of 2011.
Sonja is very thankful to be part of the BackFit family since 2015, and help to empower people to reach their optimal health.
Sonja married her husband Andrew in 2010. They live in Gilbert with their three children. Besides working at home and at BackFit, she enjoys hobbies such as: playing the piano, hiking, teaching, camping, and road trips.
Katelyn Hannabach is an NCCPA certified Physician Assistant licensed by the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants. She grew up in Mesa, AZ, and attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ for her undergraduate degree. She graduated with Honors receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry.
After college, she attended AT Still University in Mesa, AZ. She received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and served as the class secretary. During her time at AT Still, she treated patients from underserved populations and volunteered with various organizations. One of the trips Katelyn took was on a medical brigade to Honduras. She is passionate about medicine and eager to work and connect with patients throughout their course of treatment.
When Katelyn is not working at BackFit, she volunteers at Banner Baywood Medical Center in the ER as well as at the Flagstaff Medical Center in the ER. She is also a Leader at the Matter of Balance Program which serves to educate older adults on fall prevention.
In her free time, Katelyn likes to spend time with family, friends, and her chocolate lab, Jax. She loves to visit Flagstaff to hike in the summer and ski in the winter. She enjoys shopping, watching movies, swimming, exercising, and going to concerts.
