Sonja Gerard, FNP

Sonja moved to Arizona in 2002 where she attended Arizona State University to complete the nursing program. She graduated in December of 2007 and immediately started working for Scottsdale Honor Healthcare hospital in the cardiac unit. Given the chronic condition of patients she had to take care of every day, Sonja developed a burning desire to be able to better help the community to reach a healthier lifestyle.

She continued her studies at Grand Canyon University where she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program in August of 2011.

Sonja is very thankful to be part of the BackFit family since 2015, and help to empower people to reach their optimal health.

Sonja married her husband Andrew in 2010. They live in Gilbert with their three children. Besides working at home and at BackFit, she enjoys hobbies such as: playing the piano, hiking, teaching, camping, and road trips.

Hello, my name is Parker and I am a physician assistant at Backfit Health + Spine. I am originally from Billings, Montana and have lived in Arizona for 4 years. I graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Exercise science and then moved to Arizona where I graduated from physician assistant school at A.T. Still University.

I enjoy working in sports medicine and strive to be a patient advocate. When I am not working, I enjoy golfing, exercising, watching sports and eating at new restaurants. My favorite traits of mine are my sense of humor and

loyalty.
