Personal Statement
“I chose to become an obstetrician-gynecologist for a number of reasons, all of which are still big parts of why I love what I do after more than 15 years of doing it. For starters, nothing is more fun, rewarding and important than delivering babies! Plus, it’s a joy and an honor to participate in helping women be healthy throughout the various transitions of life. In particular, today’s advanced, minimally invasive treatments and surgeries allow me to provide women more effective care and better relief and outcomes. But for me, it’s about commitment to women’s individual needs and best health. As a woman, that’s what I want from an OB/GYN, so that’s what I bring to work with me every day.”

Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, Dr. Saucier now calls Mobile her home. She and her husband, Charles Saucier, a CPA and local businessman, have been married since 1994. They have a son, Charles, born in 2006. Besides spending time with her family, Dr. Saucier enjoys reading, painting, and gardening.

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Saucier for years, and she is great! Takes her time when she comes in and is extremely easy to talk to. It hard to find a doctor like her.”

Personal Statment
“Giving my patients the best care means really listening to them. I try to block out all other thoughts and distractions and listen to what they have to say. I like to develop personal relationships with each patient. I spend the time needed to understand their personal history and experiences, and hear their complete medical situation. When my patients have health issues, I try to present all of the available treatment options so that, together, we can make the best decision for their care.”

Raised in Auburn, Alabama, Dr. Parnell relocated to Mobile for medical school and fell in love with the area. She is an avid Auburn football fan and enjoys reading, time on the water, and travel. Dr. Parnell is married to Stuart and they recently welcomed a son, Jim.

“Dr. Parnell has been my doctor now for 5 years. Choosing your female doctor means more than just picking someone from the list. It’s about finding someone who understands you, cares for you, someone to give you the best advice and—most importantly—someone you trust. Dr. Parnell has delivered my two babies, and knowing that her hands will be the first ones that my babies feel means everything to me”
– S.C.

“Dr. Parnell embodies all the characteristics I look for when searching for a doctor. She is professional and knowledgeable, and I feel very much at ease asking her any questions that I may have. She and her team are also very personable, and they take the time to get to know you as a person as well as to know your needs as a patient.”

Personal Statement
“I chose obstetrics and gynecology to build a relationship with patients. Combining primary care, surgery and emergency medicine, I have the privilege of taking care of women through their teenage years, pregnancy, menopause, and all of the ups and downs that come with living a full life. The most rewarding aspect of that is the bond that I form with my patients as we work together to make some of the most important– and oftentimes, some of the most exciting– decisions in their lives.”

Originally from Argentina, Dr. Davila was raised in Mobile, Alabama. She returned to raise a family and provide care for the people of her hometown. She enjoys cooking, rowing, and– most of all– spending her time with her husband, Cullen; son, Finn; and daughter, Charlie.

“As a medical student, I felt drawn to Women’s Health. I found that I related on a personal level to the women I was caring for and the issues they faced. After a decade in this role, I still find it very fulfilling to take care of women through all the stages of their lives. Being by their side through one of the most memorable moments of their lives—pregnancy and childbirth—is beyond rewarding. But taking care of their gynecologic and surgical needs also brings excitement and variety to my work. I want the women in my care to always feel that they’ve received the best service, care and guidance that women’s healthcare offers.”

Originally from Bay Minette, Alabama, Dr. Lenz now lives in Mobile with her husband, Michael, and three children, Samuel, Ryland and Maggie. Her primary interest apart from medicine is spending time with her family, but she also enjoys cooking and reading. She and her family are members of Springhill Baptist Church.

“Dr. Lenz and her nurses are amazing. I enjoyed coming to my appointment, because I knew we would laugh and I would be well taken care of. Any questions or concerns I had, Dr. Lenz would have an answer. Her bedside manner is amazing. Amy McCoy, MD

Board-Certified
Obstetrics and Gynecology

Residency: Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of South Alabama Health Systems, Mobile, AL

Education
MD – University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Mobile, AL
BA – University of South Alabama, Mobile, AL

Professional Memberships
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Fellow); Alabama Medical Association; Mobile Medical Society; Women’s and Children’s Committee (Chair), Medical Executive Committee, Surgical Committee and Credentialing Committee

Personal Statement
“I love being an OBGYN because we get to stay with our patients throughout all the phases of their lives, and I get to truly know my patients and their families. This allows me to truly know their beliefs, medical history, family history, and why they want or don’t want certain treatments. Together we can then put together a health care plan that is individualized for that patient and her needs. My goal is to treat every

woman I see as a member of my family. It is amazing to get to see patients as teenagers, through starting families, into menopause and with all their gyn and surgical needs in between. Being an OBGYN is definitely a rewarding profession and I am honored when a woman chooses me to help care for her medical needs.”

Dr. McCoy was a recipient of Mobile Bays’ 40 under 40 and a Nappie award winner for best HooHa doctor. When not working, she spends her time volunteering in the community through Junior League of Mobile, South Alabama Alumni Association Board and St Paul’s Episcopal School. Dr. McCoy also enjoys fishing, boating and being outdoors with her husband, Clay, and kids, Jackson and Riley Cate.

“Amy McCoy is an amazing doctor. Her work ethic, knowledge, skills, as well as her unfailing compassion for her career are admirable. Being her patient changed my life. She’s helped me tremendously in finding treatment for my buildup of GYN issues. No matter how small or big of a problem, it never goes unnoticed. If you are undecided on a gynecologist, look no further. She’s a unicorn, for sure, and one of the absolute best.”
– R.S.

“When I went into preterm labor with triplets at just 24 weeks, I was petrified. Dr. McCoy met me at the emergency room within 10 minutes of finding out I was there and immediately put me at ease with her bedside manner and wonderful sense of humor. Over the next month, as I was on bed rest, she remained available and supportive. When I delivered the babies at 27 weeks (and on very short notice), Dr. McCoy made sure she was in the delivery room even though she was scheduled to leave on a family trip in just a few hours. My 27-week, 2-lb. babies are now almost 2 years old and thriving. Sam, Isaac, Scarlett, and my entire family are forever grateful to Dr. McCoy.”
